What is cuter than a baby deer sitting in a bowl? Nothing, that's what! I adore the playful pinks and yellows in the artwork of South Carolina based artist Joseph Bradley. How can paintings with such a grey, washy background still seem so cheerful? These scenes remind me of going on beautiful hikes in soft, rainy weather.
Animals and nature being a prevalent part in Bradley's body of work, these paintings are part of his Wildlife series. He also has another series of Koi fish that portrays the same grey background and warm yellows. Bradley expresses these animals in such a soft, gentle way--as delicate as the nature they inhabit. If only we could get this close to these little fawns in real life...hey, at least we have we have Bradley's paintings!
